Pump House, Old Town, Hastings

Bar

Our Public House is split into 2 bars. The top level bar is larger and livelier at weekends. It boasts 2 large flat screen televisions, and leads to the pool room, the restaurant, toilets and outside smoking area. Our ground floor bar, also known as Smuggler’s Rest is a smaller, cosier bar with a roaring open fire in the winter months. Both bars are well stocked and we offer a wide range of lagers, ales, wines and spirits.

On draught we have the famous Oranjeboom, Hurlimann and Holsten Export lagers as well as Becks, Budweiser and Corona bottled lagers. We have Guinness Extra Cold available. Our draught cider is Strongbow, and we have Magners and also Magners Pear ciders.

We offer the following Shepherd Neame ales

Master Brew
A clean, dry, refreshing, session bitter, having a touch of sweetness, but displaying an assertive and vibrant hop with a lingering bitter finish.
Spitfire
Crafted from traditional varieties of English malt, this golden ale combines an underlying depth of maltiness, tinged with a subtle hint of toffee, with the bold citrus and fruity spiciness of Kentish hops, to produce a well-balanced, thirst quenching, popular drink.
Bishops Finger
The dominant character of this premium ale is its generous, fruity flavour, reminiscent of bananas and pears with citrus overtones. A full-bodied, nut-brown, nourishing ale with a lingering hoppy finish, an ideal companion to food, or it can serve as a delicious digestive after a meal.
